Why not escape from the hustle and bustle of life to find peace and tranquillity in our Andalucian country hideaway? This recently completed ground floor apartment, surrounded by olive and chestnut trees, on a hillside just outside Casares, is a perfect place to relax in the sunshine by the pool, admire the views and get away from it all.

An ideal retreat, Arcos Verdes is surprisingly convenient for the picturesque local beaches, and is also a popular base for golfers, sightseers, birdwatchers, walkers, cyclists and painters.

Situated in the beautiful hills of La Celima, on the ground floor of the owners’ private villa, this self-contained apartment for two people offers a perfect escape from the world; the only sounds to break the silence are the songs of the birds and the tinkling of sheep and goat bells. Views of the mountain are wonderful and on clear days the Rock of Gibraltar and the North African coastline are clearly visible.

If you want to venture further afield, Estepona and long golden beaches are 15 minutes by car, with a dozen championship golf courses 20–30 minutes away, including Valderrama - the Ryder Cup venue.

Arcos Verdes is also a convenient base to explore historic Andalucia. The lovely pueblo blanco of Casares is just up the road, with Ronda, Granada and Seville all within striking distance. Gibraltar too, is easily accessible.

Arcos Verdes, so called because of the recurring green arches in the apartment, is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a perfect holiday. It consists of a lounge/ diner, kitchen and large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

With its own entrance, terrace, BBQ area and garage, your privacy is assured. Use of the owners’ large pool and sun beds etc is included and you are welcome to laze away the days by the pool or explore the magnificent countryside, as you wish. For comfort in winter, the apartment has central heating installed, creating a perfect all year round base for a rural holiday in Andalucia.

Arcos Verdes is approximately 1¼ hours from Malaga or ¾ hour from Gibraltar. There are numerous small shops and bars in the nearby village of Casares and many excellent restaurants and ventas in the area – wayside restaurants serving traditional Spanish food.
 
A car is essential as we are 1½ km up a track winding round the hillside – but to arrive here is to find the idyllic hideaway you yearned for!!

Christmas & New Year, Easter & May Bank holiday periods are highseason.

Booking is normally Saturday to Saturday in high season, but with flexibility outside this period.

Prices include use of shared pool and sun loungers. All bed linen and towels provided with a weekly maid service and welcome pack on arrival.

Apartment available from 3.00 pm on your day of arrival and must be vacated for cleaning by 11.00 am on day of departure.

How to Get Here

For flights, you might find the following website useful: www.skyscanner.net

Sky Scanner compares prices and availability for different airlines and different routes. The list it provides is not exhaustive, but it does seem to cover the main low cost scheduled airlines.

  • Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar.

Although Gibraltar is nearer, most people fly into Malaga. The number of flights into Gibraltar is quite restricted, whereas there are a wide range of flights available to Malaga.

Cheap flights available from Monarch, BMI Baby, Jet2.com and EasyJet. Sometimes good deals are available from BA too - worth checking out.

The journey to Arcos Verdes from Malaga Airport takes about 1¼ hrs. Approximately one hour travelling south along the main motorway, the N340, and then another 15 minutes travelling inland towards Casares.

The journey to Casares from Gibraltar Airport takes about ¾ hour - approximately half an hour travelling north along the N340/ E15 and then another 15 minutes travelling inland to Casares.

  • Jerez, Sevilla or Granada

It is also feasible to get here from Jerez. Seville or Granada and some of our clients do (cheap flights from Ryanair and a company called CIickair) – but of course, it means your journey here by car takes longer.

The car journey takes about 1½ hrs from Jerez, 2¼ hrs from Seville and about 2½ hrs from Granada

  • Car Hire

A car is essential for a holiday with us and we can arrange car hire for you. The car will be waiting at the airport when you arrive and you just leave it at the airport when you return.
